A new 4 month installation is being installed at The Broad in Los Angeles. The collection focusses on the forces of globalization and war and its effect on daily lives. The exhibition features artists such as Shirin Neshat, Jeff Wall, William, Kentridge, Sterling Ruby, and others.
These artists have been addressing the affects of globalization and violence for decades although its its recently become a hot topic in politics today. The topics that these artists address range from surveillance, games, global commerce, data, ect. The exhibition ties together a theme of individual private lives in the context of larger global events.
The show will be up from April 29-Sep 3. Go this summer if you find yourself in LA!
